Stojana Protića
Building on Vračar, Stojana Protića
DETAILS
The entire building was designed with a plastic plaster (Bavalit) finish applied by spraying.
The facade also features elements of aluminum substructure on parts of the bay window, with the final cladding of these sections also being Bavalit.
The decorations around the windows and terraces were designed as orange Alubond on the substructure, giving the building a distinctive look.
- The biggest challenge of this building was the roof.
- The building is located on a corner plot, so it is rounded on one side.
Although it doesn’t appear so, the building has a very complex roof.
The top floor is an attic, so less than 50% of the roof is visible. Above the semi-circular part of the building, there is a hidden roof space where all the ridges meet.
The different heights of the boundary walls on the courtyard side, varying roof slopes, and hidden gutters posed a challenge for the roof’s construction.
